Electrical and Mechanical Optimization for Household Appliances

Challenge

A household appliance OEM/ODM company commissioned Primeyoung to provide the electrical motor solutions for the project of household sewing machines. The client challenged Primeyoung to develop customized motor solutions to support the existing driver board as well as to satisfy the electrical and mechanical optimization for the current application.

For the performance with consistency and durability, it is crucial for the sewing machine to be equipped with high quality and reliable motors. In addition to operating capabilities, more than one type of motor solutions will be considered to determine which types of motors are the most suitable to use depending on the operating functions each sewing machine can provide. e.g. PM stepper is more feasible for home/small business models as hybrid stepper is for  industrial models.

The sewing machine is required to be installed with the optimized customization of motors which is designed based on the technology to develop the most cost-effectiveness and high-performance solutions.

Solutions

Primeyoung was able to deliver motor solutions for household model with promising results. We developed more competitive motor solutions with the combination of PM stepper motor, hybrid stepper motor, and DC motor as well as utilized the engineering expertise to approach the expectations on both cost reduction and consistent performances.
